Background

Ozcan is an exclusive store in India that sells Australian products. The idea was to make Australian products easily available to the Indian market with affordable prices. These products mainly include snacks and other food ingredients from Australia, which are normally difficult to import due to high import duties.

Challenge

The client wanted me to create a brand mark that would closely represent Australia, as this would be an easy identification of the brand in the market. The goal was to make the brand stand out in a completely new environment.

Design

I studied a bit about the Australian market, its culture and local grocery brands. Simultaneously, I also compared it to the Indian market and listed out its potential competitors. The final concept I picked would best represent Australia, “Australian national colors”, “Kangaroo” and beautiful “sunsets” in Australia. The brand colors were derived from the national colors green and gold, which was later incorporated on other mediums in order to maintain consistency.
